News and Novels
There's something about mysteries that make me feel like I downed four cups of coffee in one sitting. I only recently finished "The Dragon King's Palace", the latest (available) in Laura Joh Rowland's Sano Ichiro detective series set in Tokugawa era of Japan. With or without coffee, this series never fails to leave me palpitating with nerve-wracking tensions. However, the good news is that no matter what happens, the case will be solved and everyone will, somewhat, live a happy ending.
Yet I, too, read the daily news. Some topics, like those about our nation's money problems and new "gimmicks" of crazy politicians, I don't even bother to click into. But there are those that catch my attention. It might sound an odd thing for me to take an interest into, but I've been following the updates on the murder case of Nida Blanca. However, unlike the novels, Philippine murder cases don't always assure the reader of a happy ending, needless to say, a just one. It's a sad fact.
Just to get my mind off these bothersome thoughts, here's another quiz.

"The night is full of holes
Those bullets rip the sky
Of ink with gold
They twinkle as the boys play rock and roll"
In 2004 you partied so hard... you forgot how to count.
