Adventures In Quezon City

Spent the whole of yesterday with Teng in Quezon City. Damn! I don't like that city. It had me lost and will probably keep me lost and confused. Who the heck holds a gaming office in Timog? The blasted guy kept insisting that our landmark would be Burger King. Ang daming Burger King!

Anyway, getting there was actually fine, but finding the place we were supposed to go to was hell. When we finally found the building, I probably spent the next 45 minutes paranoid like crazy coz Teng was also paranoid about the car. She said that most of the carnapping incidents occur in Timog, and that's exactly where we were. Thank God I took the Civic which is lock-pick proof. I know coz Bam once left the key inside with all doors locked so we tried having some professional lock-pickers open it but they couldn't so we had to send for the spare all the way to Dangwa near UST.

Back to Timog, it was strange. Money might be money but I just didn't want to push through with that project coz the second we entered, both Teng and I got such bad vibes about the Korean guy who owned the place. Plus he couldn't understand a word we said. Blast him! So we let him go with no deal.

Then spent the rest of the afternoon in Gateway mall. I needed the Starbucks to relieve me of my previous stress, then went to Fully Booked and bought another 2 books. How do you leave that place without buying anything. Gosh, I'm gonna miss Teng when she goes on leave to give birth.

This Week and a Cat Fight

Just this week, the subject of our usyoso (don't know if it's spelled that way, basta I mean something like curiosity) was this cat argument going on in our backyard involving Patch (one of the cats we adopted) and some stray white one. For hours, they were meowing at each other civilly, like they were at a conference, until we noticed them bow at each other at some point. How strange!

From what we deduced, and was also seconded by Hope, cats are territorial. It seems that the white stray just wandered into our property, and when Patch saw him he tried sending it away. And it was probably pleading "makikiraan lang po" but Patch wouldn't let him pass. And that's why he bowed and went away.

Meanwhile, this week will be another family eating fest. Grabe! Hindi na nagsawa. But that's OK. Kuya Ronnie's leaving on Sunday so it would be best to fatten him up only so he can lose it when he gets back to Cleveland.

What's up on Valentines?

It's Valentines Day and I can hear old, cheesy, annoying music wafting from the office next door. For crying out loud, who listens to Eternal Flame? And it's that blasted Star again.

So anyway, things might get pretty hectic today. Instead of having lunch with Bam somewhere in Katipunan, I get to get stuck in the office, in a meeting, with the panda bear boss, a tech officer, and an accountant. Whoopiedoo! Yeah right! I've been watching too much "Friends" that I'm becoming sarcastic.

Now I'm deciding the wisest way to use my Starbucks Valentines coupon. Two choices:
A) Bring my 2 tumblers and order 2 tall mochas in Libis, bring them to the office, and drink them both. That way I get 2 drinks, all to myself, for the price of one.

- or -

B) Pass by the one in Emerald before picking up Ate and surprise her with a mocha.

I'll do B. That would make my Gerby happy!

And oh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!

Decaf Doesn't Work

There's nothing like coffee to cure grogginess that could very well turn into a headache, as well as boredom that could transform into hunger.

Drat! Unfortunately, we ran out of coffee in the house and the only thing left was a bag of decaf which Pop can't drink. So I had a cup, hoping I could let it work by psychological conditioning alone. Well, it didn't! I also thought that blogging would cure, but I'm sleepier than ever.

So now I'm yawning like crazy and might just shoot all the crazy drivers on the street if I leave the office. But what the heck! I'll give it a few more minutes and I might just get a mocha.

Music: Crazy - Alanis Morisette
