Some Enchanted Weekend

Long weekends are just great!

Saturday was spent shopping for Christmas gifts with Ate. And since everyone didn't know what to give me (I suggested they give me books) Ate took me to Ink & Stone to pick out four books. Yipee! I got all the books I wanted.

Sunday was at Enchanted Kingdom with Bam, Kuya Dondi, Regina, and Wappy. There were a lot of people but it was ok considering we arrived at 4:00 and got to ride the Log Jam, Space Shuttle (which is why my throat is now majorly sore), Rialto, and Wheel of Fate. Too bad it rained the whole afternoon which had us walking around semi-wet and partly sweating in a hooded jacket, but it was fun nonetheless.

Monday, I spent the whole morning playing with Macie. She now calls me TC (Tita Caren) so Bam and I are no longer "Bam and Bam". The adorable child has an imaginary cat (that's kinda freaky), and she was so excited that I came to play with her. Kawaii!

VOSA at 21

Two Saturdays ago was VOSA's 21st anniversary. So last Saturday, November 19, the younger set of the group (Bam, Hope, Willow, Mikey, Crissy, and I, minus Wappy, Chris, and Matt) went out to celebrate! Yipee! Twas fun!

After killing some time at Fully Booked (my first time to see the new one so I was dying) and marvelling over the picture of Cedric Diggory whom I thought was named Clemence Poesy (labo!) we met up with Willow then had dinner. And like every other gimmick, doesn't matter if it's with cousins, AC friends, VOSA, or long lost college friends for that matter, we went to Starbucks. Yum! Toffee nut latte for me is the taste of Christmas.

Anyway, the conversation was interesting which resulted in a variety of sorts. The laughter was great! Very uncontrollable which had me tearing. HopeE is just great! And the next day too... BamE, which is milder, is a bit harder to take in but is yummy nonetheless! I'm not making any sense.

Til the next VOSA gimmick again on December 17!

MIG AYESA - Live In Manila!

There's a fine line between good artist and good HOT artist. I just met one of the latter. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG, OH MY GOD!!! Mig Ayesa is such a hottie! He really made my night.

Mig performed in Conway at the Shangrila last night. He started off with this song, can't remember the title, then sang "Baby, I Love Your Way" which he dedicated to his wife. Sweet! It's annoying how all the yummy guys are taken. Then he ended with "Funky Music", which had everyone dancing, singing, and screaming. Gosh! He's not cute on TV but he looks so adorable in person. And if his voice sounded good on INXS TV, he was even better live. Gaah!

And since he was there, so was I with my handy-dandy lomo cam, I begged his cousin Billy to get me a spot beside him. So when Mig got beside me it was no holds barred. I asked for a picture with him, then he put his arm around me and, of course how could I resist, I put my arm around him too, then it was click click click. The guy has absolutely no fat, just abs. Dammit!
I also asked for his autograph. I had him sign my Starbucks Gold Coast postcard. (It says, "love, Mig xx") That's definitely one for the books.

Mig is just way too cool!

To Bangkok and Back

I've actually been back since last Friday, but since the weekend followed my arrival I didn't get to go on the net.

Bangkok was great! The shopping was even better! And the food was... let's just say I gained a little weight. It's also funny how Bam and I were mistaken as everyone's daughters (Mama Vicky, Tita Lou, Ninang, and Tita Baby). It was nice though that we were always referred to as the two pretty girls who were very white, very pretty, and spoke good English. Well, you can't expect anything less from this side of the family.

So anyway, the weekend was OK, not like I expected but ok. It turned out to be VOSA's 21st anniversary, but because we had a guest from the States who just arrived from Bangkok (was there the same time as we were) we took him to dinner. Nice guy though! The last time I saw him was in 1993 so he wasn't at all what I remember him to look like.

Then there was Bam who was suffering from a severe case of the Sunday back-to-school depression which I just couldn't help but absorb. So now I'm back to work and everything seems normal. I just have to get back to my email. Not checking it for a week is really suicidal.

Bangkok, I Love!

Sawasdee ka!

In Bangkok now! Just checking my mail and will be off to Pratunam and the uber delicious MBK for more shopping.

It's been fun with Bam and Wappy.

Sorry, I can't make any sense right now. My English is turning Thai and I'm really itching to go and shop.
