Remembering Salem

It's only still the beginning of the month and I've already lost three things I really love. I hope it stops at that.

1. Our beautiful Acacia tree that sprouts flowers like Cherry Blossoms was uprooted by typhoon Milenyo. That was a beautiful tree. Everyone who passed by it during the its blossoming season marveled at it. We no longer have pretty pink flowers to look forward to on May.

2. Starbucks Libis is now closed. I thought it was closed last Saturday due to a company outing, which is odd because they usually bring in reinforcements from Eastwood. But they were still closed this morning. This branch, by the way, is part of the building that is owned by i-Bank, however, since they were bought by Unionbank (and it turns out there is a Unionbank right across), they can probably no longer rent there. I love this branch because of all Bam's memories (and Mike's), all our boring and lazy afternoons with Regina turned hyper, and this is the branch that upgrades my tall personal mochas to a grande, no questions asked.

3. SALEM! He died this morning. Salem was the black kitten we adopted just last Saturday. By some accident, he sort of got ran over by someone's massive car in our garage and his legs were fractured. He survived it, healing and all, but it turns out he had a wound somewhere that we didn't know about so we weren't able to dress it, and that's what ailed him. He was a good cat and the other two cats just loved him, even guarding him in his sleep. He probably came to our house to serve a higher purpose and we will forever love him for it.
