"My Sky"

Sunrise pulls back the curtain on a sky full of hope
And the promise of brightness over yesterday's ash
When faith, nestled in its vast white sails
Is the dawn of your dreams, the breath of air divine.

The can snatch your bread, but not you patch of sky
They cannot take away what they did not create
They can break your heart but not your soul
Signs of life will never die.

God made the sky to give us reason to look up
To lift our head and feel hope
To find brightness day and night
There is always reason to believe.

Harry Potter A-ha Moments

I've been re-reading the Harry Potter books during free time at the office. Haha! There are parts that tickled my curiosity and I picked up some stuff that were mentioned in Book 6 which were unknowingly mentioned in the previous five books. I'm actually still in Book 5.

1. Sectumsempra - When Harry used this on Draco Malfoy in Book 6 (he saw it written in the Half-Blood Prince's book of potions not knowing it belonged to Snape), the description was that Malfoy got gashes on his face and was bleeding. In Book 5, when Harry entered Snape's most embarrassing memory of James and Sirius "torturing" Snape, Snape muttered a spell at James which caused a gash on his cheek, which also caused blood to sputter on his robes. So Sectumsempra was already seen in Book 5.

2. When Dumbledore "left" Hogwarts after "Dumbledore's Army" was blabbed about, Umbridge became the new head of Hogwarts and appointed an Inquisitorial Squad composed mostly of Slytherins. Whatever did Snape say about it? He's in the Order, but he's a Slytherin whose favorite is Malfoy, plus he hates Umbridge, so where does that leave him? I was just wondering.

I was thinking of other stuff while reading the book but I can't seem to remember them now. Maybe next time.

No Goodbyes to Pluto

Bam's observation was right! Everyone who terrifyingly exclaimed "Have you heard that Pluto is no longer a planet?!?" also said, "We have to unlearn everything we learned in grade school!" Um, no need to unlearn anything. Just add two more orbs to the solar system and we can still very well use the sentence, "My Very Energetic Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas... and then some."
