After Eden Garnished with Cheese and Sugar

I just finished reading one of the nicest graphic novels ever created. It's not something I would have thought of buying, or reading for that matter, but after much pondering I decided to pick it up and go through the motions. And it beat the hell out of me. For one whole day and a half at the office, I finished it.

"After Eden" was worth reading in every sense. The plot, the concept, the way it was drawn, and the way it was written made me really feel like I was watching an anime. I could hear the deep baritone of the main male characters in the story; the chic lit voices of the females; the crash, bamm, pok, and other sound effects of a hard core fiction; and, well, I could actually hear the background music.

The story is about love, finding it and holding on to it, in a vague setting because according to Arnold Arre, the creator, love is universal. I can't say I can relate to it, but it had me eating out of its pages with wide open eyes, dropped down jaws, and cheese and sugar oozing out of my hypothalamus. What can I say! Although I appear hard and indifferent, I'm still a girl.
