First Day of Christmas

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Twinkle, Twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, Twinkle all the night.
Then the traveler in the dark
Thanks you for you tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go
If you did not twinkle so.
In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep.
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.
As your bright and tiny spark
Lights the traveler in the dark –

I bought this book for Macie since I liked it so much. Also because I wanted her to learn that the reason we celebrate CHRISTmas is not because Santa Claus gives us gifts, rather it’s the birthday of Jesus.

And though it may not be the first day of Christmas, for me, it has already begun. SPEED, Bam’s org that caters to special children, caroled in our house this evening, and though Bam insists that they’re not good, I was rather surprised. Not bad at all, if I may say so myself. And it was also so nice to see Macie gazing adoringly at her Tita Bam. It was such a nice treat to have people singing Christmas songs in the house with the whole family complete. It made feel light and happy inside. Finally, I can feel Christmas in the air.

Since I was happy, I just couldn’t help but play some holiday tunes on my violin… the kinda slow and easy ones. And though I’m still not that good, I felt happy.
