School Girl and Old Schoolmates

I had a pretty interesting afternoon out of the office yesterday.

Ton and I had a meeting for a project bidding in an office in Roxas Blvd. Incidentally, one of the people we met with was an old schoolmate, Trina, also an old friend from FACETS (in high school) and the Library Club (in grade school). Nice to see a familiar face in such foreign territory. Funny thing too that Ton had an old classmate from Xavier who's, sort of, Trina's boss. "It's a small world after all."

Before going back to the office, I passed by the Starbucks at The Fort to get a _mocha and a brownie. Meetings away from the office merit a Starbucks break after. While waiting for my _mocha, the baristas decided to be all friendly with me. That's actually what I like about Starbucks Fort. They're ALL always friendly. This is how it went.

Barista guy: Hello Caren! The personal _mocha is yours right? (gestures to my tumbler) Would you like
regular or non-fat milk?
Me: Regular please!
Barista guy (while making my coffee): Came from school?
Me (laughs while obviously flattered): Oh no! I'm working na!
Barista girl (laughing): Really? You look young!
Barista guy (laughing too): Oo nga. Mukhang student ka pa.
Me (still flattered but trying to be modest): Hehe! It's a common mistake.
