August Celebrations in a Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REGINA! (Aug. 21) and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA! (Aug.22)

Last Saturday, August 19, were the birthday celebrations of two very special people - Regina and Anna. Just imagine what a full but fun day I had.

The morning was for Regina. It was an all-girl day thing at Nail Tropics in Alabang. Even Macie was there but she had a haircut and wouldn't let me leave her side. Afterwhich was unlimited play for 2 hours at Timezone. I really love Timezone. Such a stress relieving place. Macie was just so excited to be with her Ate Regina and friends that they had so many pictures together. And because there was a carousel (unlimited swipes for 2 hours), that's pretty much what we did after she had her fill of the games with prizes.

Cute rin ni Regina and her friends. They're 9 but they're still kids. Kakatuwa sila in the nail spa. They all had nail art done while singing songs from High School the Musical and discussing Winx, Pokemon and Card Captor Sakura. Kuya Mandy was just staring at them and he found it funny that I knew exactly what the girls were talking about.

Lunch was at The Palms Country Club. Grabe the buffet! So yummy that I must have turned orange from all the salmon sashimi I ate. And the ice cream... I just let Macie put as much marshmallows and rice crispies. She so cute, she's still like a baby. She went around feeding everyone marshmallows. Then Macie sat on Regina's lap by the bowling alley while Regina blew the candle. They're so cute.

The evening was for Anna. She celebrated her 18th birthday at the Palm Grove in Rockwell and she just looked like a doll. Grabe Anna! I can't believe you're 18 and so grown-up but so pretty and sweet. I really still remember carrying you when you were as big as Macie. For the record, I was still in grade school then. Haha! Parang laki ng age gap.

Anyway, it was a good evening. It was just nostalgic that everyone was so young and us cousins (supposed to be the younger bracket among the Chan cousins) were the "old" table. Sigh! But it was pretty enjoyable still. The food was really good that, as cousins, we were some of the first in line and also some of those who went back for more. And the video... there's a side of Anna we've never seen. But some things are always the same - she always has that sparkle in her eye. And Bam's and my singing, well, I heard the video. Not bad at all! Would've been better if I didn't eat that blasted ice cream earlier. And yay! Wappy sang!

Since the rest of the night was dancing, and well, we're not really dancers, we just whiled the time away at Starbucks in Corinthian Hills. Just some kwento here and kwento there.
